This Family Enrichment Toolkit is the most AMAZING thing!
Because we have three college-aged daughters, a middle school son, as well as two busy parents, mealtimes at our house were quite a challenge. On the nights that we did come together to the table, our family dinners tended to be on the “dry” side. Well, when I brought home the Toolkit with the Honor plate and the Table Thyme cards, we decided to try out one of those cards on the very first night. That one question had us talking and sharing, and before we knew it, dinner was over! The next evening the kids said, “Get out those cards, and let’s do it again!” I have to tell you how humbled I was when the card that was pulled that particular night touched on the virtue of “Gentleness”. Each person was to go around the table and tell the name of the person that they knew who was most “gentle” and why…every one of them chose me. I wanted to cry! When each had their own explanation as to why they had chosen me, my heart was truly moved.
Needless to say, these simple tools have brought us ALL back to the table at the SAME time. Our time spent together during meals has changed in less than one week, because we are finding out so much about one another. Here’s the BEST part about the Family Enrichment Toolkit, the size of your family or the age of your children makes no difference. Everyone is having a great time with the cards, and everyone is excited to see who will receive the Honor plate next. I can see my children continuing on this tradition when they are married with their own children. I want to encourage everyone I know to get a kit for their family!
